In spite of the global pandemic, environmental protection is a topic that should not be forgotten under any circumstances. We take this as an opportunity to examine this topic in detail, of course in relation to our company, in order to give you a glimpse behind the scenes.
Environmental Protection @ Our Facility & Production in Austria
Since we have a not exactly low power consumption due to the large number of ultra-modern injection molding machines, we decided to install a photovoltaic system in 2017 to protect the environment. After the test operation was completed at the end of 2017, the decision was made to obtain the electricity that could not be covered by the photovoltaic system from 100% hydropower. Every year we save 116 tons of CO2 and thus make our contribution to climate protection.
Of course, waste is generated during production, but it is systematically separated and some of our production waste is even recycled. But more on that later ...
The injection molding machines have to be cooled during production. The majority of plastics processing companies use tap water for this purpose, but we have been using well water since the production site in Ebenfurth was established.
Recycling By FILDAN
For our customers, we offer a return service for items that are no longer required, e.g. seasonal colors. The customers can return these to us, where the returned items are processed again into new products.

In 2020 we were able to finish the development of our four sustainable product lines, which we are really very proud of. On the one hand, we work with materials from external suppliers, but on the other hand we also work with our own waste material. Find out more about our sustainable product lines here!
