In the apparel industry, climate protection has become increasingly important due to consumer demand. For this reason, many brands and manufacturers are trying to source sustainable raw materials. Since 2020, there are four sustainable options in our product range, which we would like to introduce to you.
The first option is the production of our articles from film production waste. The material Econamid® from DOMO Engineering Plastics is an engineering plastic based on valuable recycled polymers. This sustainable granulate, from which our plastic accessories are made, is based on high-quality, post-industrially recyclable fibre residues that come from reliable sources. This guarantees environmental friendliness and durability at the highest industrial standard.
The second option is the production our articles from our own production waste, which consists out of trunks, fashion colors returned and old stock collected from customers (which are no longer needed by the customer). Waste is generated, wherever there is production - including us. But with us the waste is reused for producing new articles which are made out of 100% Fildan production waste.
Then there is the third option, which is the production of our articles from "pre-customer" waste. This pre-consumer material consists of industrial waste of the detergent packing production of the company Henkel. We use the material to produce new articles which are made out of 100% industrial
waste.
Last but not least, we would like to introduce the fourth option. It is the production of our articles made from biodegradable material. The Amni Soul Eco® material from Rhodia-Solvay Group is an engineering plastic which is biodegradable as it can quickly decompose after being properly disposed of in landfills. The durability and the quality of the produced accessories is guaranteed as the decomposition process only starts once the garment is discarded and reaches the landfill having contact with existing microorganisms. Unlike other materials that take decades to be decomposed. Amni Soul Eco® takes approximately three years to be eliminated from the planet.
